Hi Everyone, if you are travelling to Lakes Entrance over the next four weeks, be advised that the road is closed between Lakes Entrance and Lake Tyers due to road works.

 

There is a diversion in place at Lake Bunga Beach Road, taking you onto Old Bunga Road, which is a narrow, dirt track, so only suitable for light vehicles, although the school buses are going that way, no trucks would get through. This brings you out on Lake Tyers Road, from where you can find your way back to the Princes Highway.

 

The highway is closed from the other end at the Lake Tyers turnoff, heavy vehicles have been diverted for a few weeks now. There are other ways via the forest, but they too are dirt tracks, Hoggs Lane and Blackfellows Road or two alternatives, again probably only suitable for cars and smaller light commercial vehicles.
